چکیده

Malignancy is the third major cause of death among transplant recipients. Patient and kidney outcomes after diagnosis malignancy are not well described. We reviewed incidences colorectal, lung, PTLD, renal patients who received a from January 2000 to December 2018 using UNOS/OPTN database. Incidence each was measured at 5 years 10 transplant. The Kaplan–Meier curve used for time-to-event analysis (graft patient outcomes). Additionally, we sought identify causes graft failure these found that 12,764 (5.5%) suffered malignancy, excluding squamous basal cell skin carcinoma During first transplant, incidence malignancies 2.99, 9.21, 15.61, 8.55 per 10,000 person-years, respectively. Rates were 10.3%, 7.6%, 19.9%, 18.8%, respectively, years. Mortality rate highest lung (84%), followed by colorectal (61.5%), PTLD (49.1%), (35.5%) malignancy. In conclusion, recipients diagnosed with have lowest survival, compared has in

Donor-associated malignancy in kidney transplant patients.

Skin cancer cells with donor genotype have been identified in allogeneic transplant patients; however, the donor contribution to the recipient's epithelial malignancy remains to be established. In this issue of the JCI, Verneuil et al. provide the first evidence for donor contribution to the malignant epithelium of skin squamous cell carcinoma in a kidney transplant recipient. This case report ...

Living donor kidney versus simultaneous pancreas-kidney transplant in type I diabetics: an analysis of the OPTN/UNOS database.

BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES Transplant options for type I diabetics with end-stage renal disease include simultaneous pancreas-kidney (SPKT), living donor kidney (LDKT), and deceased donor kidney transplant (DDKT). It is unclear whether SPKT offers a survival benefit over LDKT in the current era of transplantation. The authors compared outcomes of kidney transplant recipients with type I diabetes...
